Yatai Copenhagen & Milan (2017)
CORD was commissioned to develop a new brand identity and restaurant fit-out for a popular conveyor sushi restaurant originally based in Milan.
The design creates a subtle sense of enclosure, with undulating timber screens inspired by the geometry of seaweed, shaping a relaxed and engaging environment around the meandering sushi conveyor belt. Carefully considered lighting enhances the natural material palette, adapting the atmosphere from the lively energy of a quick lunch to a more intimate and immersive dining experience in the evening.
